The town of Agua Calientes

Dipping in the Hot Springs

By Samuel

We are now traveling through in between mountains in the Andes range. The average mountain peak is at around 22,000 feet. The train ride was beautiful as we were able to enjoy the views of the Andes. The train had glass top roof which allowed us to look up and enjoy the view of the high mountains.
As we are traveling through the Andes, we are arriving at Agua Calientes. The Agua Calientes are known as the Pueblo of Machu Picchu. It is cut off from roads and surrounded by mountains. As we arrived we went to the hot springs. We had a relaxing day resting our bodies to prepare for the long hike to come. We spent most of the day going around the town enjoying the view of the mountains. We are excited to see Machu Picchu tomorrow

Scott: Machu Picchu is considered one of the world's top seven wonders. This place has many people impressed because it is high up on hill and people are impressed at the structure and how it was built many centuries ago. We all will hike up the Machu Picchu mountain first thing in morning and this will give us amazing views of the village.
