Today we head over to the amazon in boat, the boat trip was about 1.5 hours downstream. When we arrived to the village we met new people, and we saw the lodge where we were going to sleep. Before lunch we took a 30 minute walk in the jungle, we saw many things. For example, Fruits, plants, flowers, and a lot of insects. After lunch we took a trip on boat to the monkey island, and the group got to see, monkeys, snakes, birds, and sloths. After that we got to taste the medicine they have that’s from tress or plants. Then we went to go watch the pink dolphins swim in the sunset. After dinner, we took a night walk, and we got to see many insects and spiders.
Additional note from Scott: Huge change in weather for the group-coming in from cool higher elevation 12500 feet in Cusco to less than 1000 feet in Iquitos and temps from around 50 to 78 with 98% humidity! The group was not so used to it. Buckets of sweat was collected ;) We have no WiFi at all and electricity is limited (running on generator. Only from 6 pm to 9 pm).
